Race report
Went out racing with the Sailing club yesterday, something that I've been trying to do regularly to make my membership dues pay, and also learn more about sailing than I think I could get in a class at this point. I've been going out since about the beginning of August.
After 2 weeks of really light fluky winds on Sundays, we finally got some nice wind, around 6-10 Kts. and were able to to some good races. One from the marina to the south end of Governor's Island, one 'round the buoy race, and a race back to the marina. It was 3 to a boat, so there was plenty to do, and we switched it up between races which meant I got to do foredeck/mainsheet, then trim and fly the spinnaker, then drive. We got first, first, second in the three races. I'm definitely hooked on this.
